Welcome to Hafaldan hostel

 

We are located in the towns center in the historic Old hospital. The building has been under constant renovation for the last few years and is without a doubt one of Iceland’s most charming hostels with beautiful interior design and attention to detail.

The hostel offers a variety of different rooms both with private and shared bathrooms.

It is ideal for families, couples or groups of friends & individual travelers who prefer the classic dorm bed.

If you like to feel inspired by beautiful design & meet people and share experiences… then Hafaldan is your spot in Seydisfjordur.

Very nice place to stay in a beautiful area

Very nice room, beautiful common areas, a free sauna, and the historical background of the place make the stay an excellent experience. The toilets and the showers are very nice and clean and there is also a nice big common kitchen and dining room.
There is also a big plus for Polish tourists – the staff is Polish 🙂

Highlight of our trip!

We loved the location. I absolutely love this hostel and adore its simplicity. Well-equipped kitchen, every detail taught. Overlooking the water with a beautiful eating area. Simple beds but very comfortable and clean! I love the easy check-in. Our names were on the list with the room number. I wish we could stay over for more days. Thank you for creating wonderful memories. Highly recommended!

Wish we could stay longer

Following the Walter Mitty road, you arrive at the cutest, coziest hostel. Great kitchen, very well organized, 3 stoves, suitable for many cooks…
Savna is great after all day’s drive. Walking through the little town is very picturesque… Liked also the blueberries growing in the neighborhood…
